Academic typography experiment project. Utilizing scans from Joy Division lead singer Ian Curtis’ notebook, I combined the lyrics of each track with an artistic interpretation of the title by only using typography. Printed onto lined notebook paper and binded together as a physical copy and later put into negative digitally, the idea was to create something angsty and distressed with a handwritten typographic style that reflected the angsty post-punk sound of Joy Division’s music.
